Pacific Quest

Pacific Quest, a 32 Len Randell Design (of Fremantle), was built by Frank Attwell in Burraneer Bay, Port Hacking in 1959. This vessel was originally powered with a pair of 318 Chrysler petrol engines. Later in 1964, it was repowered with a pair of Perkins 4236M. Recently, the owner decided it was time to show her some love and carried out a complete refit, including the installation of a pair of Volvo D2-75 engines. The best of both worlds were utilized by keeping the old mechanical control levers and installing a nice, clean single multifunction gauge with start and stop panels. The engines can also be monitored via a smart device and Volvo Penta EasyConnect. Colin was a very happy customer with the completed repower, as the new Volvo Pentas proved to be extremely quiet and showed a huge improvement in fuel consumption.
